During December, we usually prepare a small classroom Advent Calendar for our little ones. Every day, the children are randomly picked to open a little window and receive a little treat.
This year, in classes 1 and 2, we decided to do something different to the usual December Advent Calendar to emphasise the "Christmas is for Giving" idea.
In each class we had a large cardboard box covered to look like a large Christmas present. When each child had the lucky number for the Advent Calendar, they took their number home and brought a food item from their home to put in our " Present".
On the last day of school, we took the gifts to families in need in our local community.
